About tax and taxis

Does anyone know if a foreigner can obtain a professional driver’s license to become a taxi / Uber driver?
And, I have heard taxis are exempted from paying annual taxes on their cars.
Just wondering if this is a way around high fuel taxes?
Not that I just want to dodge my responsibilities, but a colleague wants to sell me his lexus lx470. Such a great car for weekend camping, but the taxes are enormous to justify it.

If I remember the taxes are significantly less but not zero. It would be a nice work around however there must be some drawbacks otherwise locals surely would have jumped on it and the streets would be full of 3L + “taxis”!

Not having to paint the vehicle yellow anymore is a major plus, I believe you would need to do the “professional” drivers test every year which involves parking or suchlike, presumably have to set up some sort of business to register and pay taxes on your taxi income. Let us know what else you find out!
