Adding a Taipei public library card to Taipei pass

Very niche, applied for the TPL card at the main branch in Daan, there is the option to add the library card (which now is mobile only via their app or linked to an Easycard) to Taipei Pass, which then allows you to add to Apple wallet.

I tried to follow the procedure to link it, but each time it fails

tried to ask the information desk at the library, ofc they can’t help.

anyone ever even tried? I know, first world problems, I sent already a message to the Taipei pass system.

You probably got the wrong type of UID number.

Nope, I think I know what the problem is: my name on Taipei pass is my Italian name, library card Chinese. Asked to update my Taipei pass to Chinese, will check once updated.

and now that it’s linked to the Taipei Pass card on apple wallet, I can simply tap that to be recognised at any Taipei city library.

actually libraries here are quite packed, very well stocked and actually nice places. But yeah, there must be interest in… Using the place to know
