While I like the design and innovation, that is something which should be build on south -east Asian coastline . Not in an ugly city as Taipei. ( and overseeing one of the oldest areas around Xinyi)
All those trees will be merry havoc come the first typhoon. None will survive on the same level, given the depth of the planter boxes coupled with the exposure to the wind. They’ll all migrate downstairs, over the balcony rail and into the street.
I’d live on the other side, overhanging. Then you could piss off the balcony and not hit anybody other than those enjoying the garden below.
That looks great, they are really doing some smart things in Hsin Yi Chu. And it only took 3 posts before a Forumosan poo-pood it.

I like it, an interesting and unique structure to break up the monotony.

Steve: Based on the photos, that is the correct location. Since the hotel was called the Agora Garden, I think they’re tearing the old building (which is in itself quite nice) to erect this new avante garde monstrosity.
At least it’s nowhere near as ugly as the Farglory Empire State knock off. The one the sparkles like a children’s toy.
