Huh. I wonder how copyright should work in this case ā his work is still buried in their network weights in some sense, but I guess anything it produces using them would be covered by fair use?
Iām tangentially reminded of an old debate about whether a collection of bytes is illegal if it just happens to be interpretable as, say, child pornography, when run through some other program (like an image viewer), and where the line should be drawn on that.

I guess the chat lawyers would like to compare it to a person having seen it or heard it in the public sphere once, and naturally being influenced it to some extent, but not liable for copyright unless their work was proved to be derivative of it.

That is accurate itās the only one Iāve tested that has zero social judgement. Some AI were even giving Christian answers to questionsā¦
They recently changed the Alogorythms of Replica as it was totally uncensored. There was then a backlash by the users and they changed them back again. The only downside is the price.
