AI Report 2005--China

There was progress towards reform in some areas, but this failed to have a significant impact on serious and widespread human rights violations perpetrated across the country. Tens of thousands of people continued to be detained or imprisoned in violation of their fundamental human rights and were at high risk of torture or ill-treatment. Thousands of people were sentenced to death or executed, many after unfair trials. Public protests increased against forcible evictions and land requisition without adequate compensation. China continued to use the global

I think most of us know how to read, Lizi … you should go back to practicing your floating meditation … :unamused:

I think anyone in this world, no matter he believes in what, he should have conscience, when he knows the evil is persecuting innocent people, he should speak out for the victims.

So why don’t you? All you do is ferret around and post cut-and-paste articles. Usually you don’t speak out at all.

if you can speak out for the victims in China, I appreciate you for them.

One of the many reasons I won’t live or work in China.

The emergency-room death of Gao Rongrong was neither accidental nor unnoticed. Four days after she died, Chinese embassies around the world were the sites of mass appeals.

On June 16, accountant, Ms. Gao Rongrong died due to years of torture and abuse inflicted upon her because she practiced Falun Gong. Falun Gong, a peaceful meditation practice, is banned in China and persecuted by the Chinese Communist Parpy.

If you practice “Falungong” in China you’re going to get your head kicked in by the CCP. I suggest not practising it.

There are far more bloody important things going on in China than this bloody cult. All this crap about Falungong is just white noise. These masochists have made their choice and they can live with it. Meanwhile in other news, people are being kicked out of their homes for no reason at all, being “disappeared”, having medical experiments conducted on them, and all through no fault, no action, nor any inaction on their part. So excuse me if I don’t burst into tears about your Falungong people. Yes what is happening to them is bad, awful, horrendous, but as a proportion of the people persecuted in China, utterly and completely statistically insignificant.

What’s next? An outpouring of sympathy for people who get tortured for standing in Tiananmen square and calling the CCP a cont? Fools. Idiots. Like people who smuggle heroin into Malaysia or somewhere and then complain about a harsh sentence.

White noise. Give it up. You clearly couldn’t give a tuppeny fuck about China and are only interested in generating support amongst ignorant westerners who believe your cult is some form of “reilgion” and therefore sacred. A bunch of affluent bored housewives and vulnerable misfits robbed of their money and social circle and inducted into a nonsensical cabal of mysticism and black magic wrapped up in a personality cult. That’s what were talking about here. What’s the difference between worshipping some unwashed millionaire in a dress who thinks he can fly and believing in pots of gold at the end of rainbows or fairies living at the bottom of the garden? Have you guys discovered some huge untapped source of pure LSD or something?

Come back to me when you grow up.

There are at least 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally sentenced to prison. Over 100,000 practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor camps. Thousands of practitioners have been forcefully sent to psychiatric hospitals to be tortured with injections that are damaging to the central nervous system. Large groups of Falun Gong practitioners have been forcefully sent to local brainwashing classes, where they have been subjected to both physical and mental torture. Many more practitioners have been severely beaten and had large sums of money extorted from them by so-called “law-enforcement officials.” When large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners are beaten to death, injured, and their families are broken up, when they have to leave home and go from place to place because of the persecution, millions of Falun Gong practitioners’ families, relatives, good friends and colleagues are also implicated and brainwashed to varying degrees.

Some Falun Gong practitiners want to go to appeal office to appeal for the rights of practicing, but the appeal office has become a place of arresting Falun Gong practitioners, therefore, some of the practitioners go to Tian anmen square to say a true sentence: Falun Dafa is good.

How can you compare them with those criminals? Falun Gong practitioners do nothing criminal, people should have the rights of freedom of speech, freedom of belief, that is the basic human rights, right?

How does Falun Gong contribute to the betterment of Chinese society or humanity in general? Does anyone know?

Only they ( FG) know, with all their mystery spirits and ghosts from the past to guide them.

There can always be some good to society from these types of groups. I just wish they’d spend less time hacking into Asiasat2 and Asiasat3 when I’m watching CCTV4 and my other favourite shows on the Xing Kong and the other good Chinese programming channels :noway: .

Before the crackdown, the former premire Zhu Rongji once was interviewed by a Singapore reporter, he was asked if the government had planed to ban Falun Gong. Zhu said many people got a healthy body after practicing, this had saved a lot of medical expense for the country, we can use the money in building our country, why should we ban the practice?

The laws in the society cannot change people’s hearts, if sb wants to do bad things, he try to do it secretly. Therefore, no matter how many kind of laws have been made, there are always some criminals.

Falun Dafa can change people’s hearts, the practitioners really want to be good persons from their hearts, and no matter they are being watched or not, they never do bad things.
If there are a lot of so good persons in a society, isn’t it good for the society?
