Air pollution in the Taipei area is most certainly not so grim these days. OK, could be better at some spots near the center, but in Danshui - wow. Pretty much as clear as it can get.
Now if only there were less light pollution and better stargazing …

Yup. Not as bad as the theoretical Chinese invasion that’s been in the news lately, but still very much an unwelcome incursion.
This winter so far hasn’t been too bad until yesterday. Looks like when China’s not burning shit air quality improves for everyone.
Well, they don’t have as much coal to burn this year.
