If they can pull through this initial start up period, there maybe a lot of new opportunities open up as other airlines cut/lease some routes to cut overheads.
Their business class does not look comfortable. I hope they have a different layout / seats for long hauls.

StarLux has not acquired long-haul aircraft yet. The only aircraft configurations I’ve seen are for regional flights.

It’ll come back, I hope.
Now… if only it joined Star Alliance.

I get the bad blood angle but never say never. EVA was briefly in SkyTeam before it joined Star Alliance in 2013.
They might get some government bailout money and come out better than they started.
Starlux must be dead or at least comatose right now due to the virus
It’s a small operation so they won’t loose that much money compared to the big airlines
Mr Chang did inheritance NT$14 billion recently so hopefully that’s enough
I heard he didn’t put too much of his own money into Starlux

The flights to Penang don’t make much sense. To my knowledge, Malaysia’s borders are still closed and there has been no announcement as to when that will change.
Got a status match with them and was really looking forward to flying with them. Good to see there still a chance of that happening. Starting up again now seems a bit too soon, can’t believe they will make money, reducing the capacity from 188 to 127 seats won’t help. Anyway hope they will survive.
I’ll happily fly to Penang with them. Love that place.
