I was on a flight before where we are circling and the pilot announces that they are waiting for it to be legal to attempt to land. Then when we went to land the plane suddenly went sideways and then accelerated like crazy. Scared the living daylights out of everyone on the plane :laughing:

Turns out there was a gust just as we were coming in to touchdown so they had to abort the landing.

EVA . . . they used to differentiate themselves from CI with their commitment to safety, something the latter did not always deliver. Nowdays they seem more committed to a daredevil model of piloting . . . :neutral_face:
