The man — a 47-year-old American citizen living in Taiwan — was stabbed in the spine while attempting to climb over the historic monument’s fence. He was possibly attempting to get a better view, according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero.
Not it!
Eratne magister Anglicus?
I hope it’s no one who posts here, or someone that any of you knows. Yikes
Somewhat connected to Taiwan
The unidentified man, a US citizen currently residing in Taiwan, was seen climbing the perimeter railings that surround the Colosseum’s towering arches, perhaps to gain a better view or as local press speculated to capture a dramatic photo.

Guy
It wasn’t his fault…his drink was spiked.
spiked with alchohol . poor dude. hope he recovers fully. how come they needed to mention “living in taiwan”. Do they usually do that?? American living in ireland, American living in kansas…American…you get the idea. I mean it makes sense since it took place in Italy if they wrote American living in Italy otherwise seems odd. Unless taiwanese were in the habit of spiking themselves as well at that location?
An authentic Roman vacation, Caesar would be proud.
Did you hear about the happy Roman? He was glad-he-ate-her!
New Pope
Is he living in Taiwan?
So did the cops stick it to him?
Will he get disability insurance in Taiwan?
Does his TW coverage help out in Itly?
Generally the private life/medical insurance you purchase in Taiwan will cover worldwide. But the amounts covered a low in comparison to medical costs in other countries.
As for Taiwan national disability insurance… it now covers certain APRC holders and that is coverage regardless of where the disability started or came from.
Poor crocodile, getting hit by concrete brick or what was it, just because some idiot had to take selfie.
