Amnesty International Taipei discusses the ICJ case alleging Israel of genocide in Gaza

Join Amnesty International Taiwan in discussion with Kevin Chang (Associate Professor International Law at National Chengchi University, Taipei) on aspects of a highly significant case currently before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) brought by South Africa alleging that Israel’s assault on Gaza (including the 150+ day aerial bombing campaign, ground invasion, and blockade of humanitarian aid) is in violation of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. This discussion may help us to understand what is going on in Gaza, how it started, how it might end, and how civil society in Taiwan can advocate for the application of international law in bringing resolution and justice to this conflict.
