I wonder did some ancestor of Uralic speakers ever made it across the Bering landbridge to the Americas, much like the Yeniseian languages and the Dene languages are related but separated on two continents.

Seems to me their migration to Europe either took place along with the Huns (aka Xiongnu, also Yeniseian speaking) or mirrored them at some later date.

It’s interesting, I remember reading that it wasn’t a widely accepted theory but it looks like they also made a link.

There are so many language isolates in NA that other links could be there. I’m not sure how many of those languages have been looked into. Most are dead or dying.

They went East and West. Weirdly liked the cold. Preumably after prey. It makes sense with hunters.
