I’ve heard avoiding sugar (and also avoiding sugar babies!) really helps some people with their anxiety and depression. Ok, I think I successfully engaged with the forum theme for today.
consider a thorough blood test with your physician. Check up on thyroid function TSH/T4 levels. Hormones: free testosterone level. CBC SMA and cancer tumor markers CEA, CA199, AFP, PSA to get an idea of any underlying conditions. Intermittent fasting can also be done to get a dopamine detox and reset your metabolism.
This is more mainly and OCD thing but triggers anxiety. Was suppose to get a package today. They didn’t deliver it and ruined my chair. They also upset my rabbits to the point they messed up my room. I can’t even catch a breath because I have to go back to work.
Can everything be cleaned? Sure. But I never wanted it delivered at my house and they shouldn’t have placed it on my chair to begin with.
I probably looked insane insisting they clean it but
Has anyone been able to get an appetite suppressant along with their antidepressants? I actually feel hungry now and gained wayyy too much. Yes, I know CICO, water, and exercise. I’ve lost weight before and I’ve had multiple nutrition classes. I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night hungry no matter the time I eat nor amount.
I was on Wellbutrin (Bupropion) for a while. It’s not an SSRI as far as I’m aware, but still an antidepressant. It fucked up my appetite the first few weeks in. I couldn’t stomach anything more than a meal a day. But you get over it and your appetite comes back after a while. I wouldn’t say it makes you more hungry than normal tho.
Careful… I am finding the guava to be less effective of a comfort food than previously thought. Honestly I think eggs fulfill this role better. I have no idea when we will see the light at the end of the tunnel regarding the shortage, as nothing the government do is making a dent in it.
Here’s an update on my situation. I am very slowly but surely healing from my anxiety. I would say I’m about 80% there. Right now, I feel completely normal but I know that’s partly because I’m on vacation and away from the stress of work. It seems I’m getting ever so slightly better every week (maybe like 1% better every week if I had to put a number to it).
I am still dependent on sleeping pills. While that bothers me, I am also very pleased with feeling much reduced levels of anxiety. Feelings of depression lasted only for a short while (see my first post above). I feel I can wean myself off the sleeping meds slowly starting soon.
For anyone going through anxiety and/or depression, I can’t stress enough how important it is to use a multi-prong approach. And get ready for a fight. See the list in my first post above for some ideas of what you can do. And do more than one thing: do 5 or 6 or 7 things all at once and stick to it.
I will beat this in 2023. You can too.
Feel free to pm me if you need some encouragement, need someone to talk to, need to vent, or anything else.
