Saw the F1 news, winner was from Belgium it seems, no Asian drivers it seems besides a few from Japan. Lots of races and money in Asia but few drivers from Asian so was wondering why.

Rio Haryanto (born 22 January 1993) is an Indonesian racing driver. He last competed in the 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series and in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia for T2 Motorsports.
He raced for Manor in Formula One for the first 12 races of the 2016 Formula One season. As of 2021, he is the only Indonesian driver to have competed in Formula One.
