I’m looking for a place to go to learn about the history of local alcohol-making, like Taiwan Beer, millet wine, and Gaoliang. I’m hoping I can find somewhere in Taipei or nearby, that’s open in the daytime. It looks like the Taiwan Beer Factory is only open from 5:30. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I used them recently with a client and they were fantastic. They can probably find or organize something for you. Tell them I sent you.
the biggest brewery in south-east Asia is the TTL one in Zhunan…they have factory tours every day Monday to Friday. Website has no English and I doubt the tours are in English though.
