Hey there
We have found someone to adopt Grace (a dog) in Calgary, Canada. Is there anyone flying in that direction that is willing to take her with? It would help a GREAT deal…thanks so much.

No disrespect but the question was asked so casually, I wonder whether you really have any idea about what is involved in transporting pets between countries…not to mention the costs.
As I said, no disrespect but I have done this and it wasn’t as simple as just checking in a piece of baggage.

I am well aware, and will go to the airport with whoever is willing to do this. Plus pay all of the costs of course…Unfortunately I have no way of helping out on the other side, but if the person adopting her can be waiting at the airport…hopefully it will not be so hard.
Is it possible to send an animal by itself? Does anyone have any idea if this is possible or how to do it? Thank youuu.
I think that it is much cheaper to send a dog to North America, as it travels as a piece of excess luggage rather than manifest cargo. It might be possible to send the dog on its own, but I think this would be much more expensive.
A fanastic job finding her a home- well done :bravo:
Thank you…we have two possibilities…One a woman that has rehomed over 500 animals in Canada. But we don’t know if she has a home for Gracie yet, and we don’t know her. She lives near Vancouver and we have some friends going there soon.
The other option is a personal friend of TotallyTika who is a better option (because she isn’t a stranger) BUT it’s hard finding someone going to Calgary.
what to do what to do…hmmm.
I’m sure that with the trillions of Canadians knocking around the place there must be one going there. Handout fliers in buxibans, bars and knockin’shops!
