Has anyone gone to Green Island through Green Island Adventures? We are interested in going there and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them? We’d like to get feedback bf making any decisions.
I looked them up here and read one experience and was hoping there might be more out there!
Go ahead. Make your booking with Green Island Adventures. Be sure of a hassle-free trip. The packages are specifically designed with foreign visitors in mind. Enjoy Ludau. I loved it!
This time of year is pretty dead though.
I just spent a month over there doing some solar energy installations and everything was closed down.
The only place to eat was 7-11.
Best to go in season.
Thanks for the tip. Hopefully, restaurants and shops will be open during cny… is it a place locals go during that time?
thanks again!
You mean during the week-long vacation? It will be really busy then, I imagine. As for CNY day itself, your eating and shopping options might be a bit restricted. I’d guess something should be open, though.
My folks LOVED their tour with Green Island Adventures, which they did the week prior to Chinese New Year. They’re well-traveled people and have been on some great tours, but they were glowing when I met up with them after their tour. The guy who runs it, Eddie, is a South African who my parents described as one of the nicest people they’ve ever met. I only met him briefly, but he took great care of my parents and their pictures from the tour were quite amazing.
I’ve booked a tour with him for September. He can get really busy, so I recommend booking far in advance.
What is the right time of the year? I am considering March?

If my friend can come to Taiwan this summer ,I will go there, too.
I think it’s the best time to book everything now.(Summer time will be the busiest time.)
Just wanted to say that we did book the package to Green Island and had a great time. It was really nice to have the ferry tickets, hotel, scooter, and hot springs tickets taken care of ahead of time. I will def use them again if I go back there!
So is this still the easiest and best way to do things, especially for someone who has never been to Green Island? And are the prices quoted below reasonable?
I just want to confirm that this is an excellent way to visit Green Island. Reasonably priced packages. Someone to pick you up, buy the ferry tickets for you (everyone bring your NHI card for ID), pick you up at the island, and take you back with the same drivers. Decent B&B.
Overall, very nice, especially for anyone that’s not been there before.
Eddie was great! We had to cancel last year and he held our reservation for that whole time. He answers emails very quickly. I believe he’s South African.
