Anyone working for BigByte Education currently or recently?

I’ve worked at four schools and Bigbyte was one of the worst. I could go into more detail but it’s not even worth going down memory lane for them. Anyone is better off NOT working for Bigbyte.

They are always running ads looking for new teachers. The pay they advertise is super low.

Seems like someone with little experience, new to Taiwan, and needing an arc would be a prerequisite to work there for obvious reasons.

I honestly feel sorry for people moving here to work and depending on local schools for anything.

Unless you have plenty of money to live on without needing a job to support yourself I would advise against moving to Taiwan.

The only reason I say this is because I’d hate to see anyone stuck in a job that makes your life worse than living in hell.

Disclaimer about this business - I have no idea about what jobs are like there. I don’t know a single person who has ever worked there. It might be a great place to work. Maybe they have hundreds of classrooms and so are always advertising their open positions and don’t have a teacher turnover problem. I have no idea.

I would be interested in hearing one of your stories. I worked there for a year and there were some issues for sure. Mostly the fact that they are lacking in training and curriculum. The majority of the teachers hired in my batch of fresh meat had no prior teaching experience. You can see how that would end up in a disaster where many of the teachers quit before finishing one year.

They had 5 schools when I worked there. There were 2-4 teachers per school.

Hello, guys.

Can you give more insights about BigByte Education? They asked me to submit a 15 minute video. It’s only been a day since I submitted, but I wanted to know the timeline. How long before you guys received an interview invite from them?
