Has anyone heard of the rule that your spouse (without work or income) can apply for APRC if you already have been an APRC holder for more than 5 years.
Soon it will also applicable also to your child.
As far as I know, your spouse can apply for APRC if he/she has been here for 5 years.
Sorry, what I mean is that those whose spouse has no work nor income.
Did you look for details in the law?
It’s been applicable to children of APRC holders for quite a number of years now.
I believe the government promoted the rule change back in 2021 and did a presentation on it. It depends if the person holding the APRC is a foreign professional or foreign special professional (Gold Card to APRC holder) also, if it’s 5 years or 3 years the spouse needs to hold the ARC to be eligible to apply.
Interesting as I thought it was already the case going by what the gov had promoted in 2021, can you share more details?
This is great news, and a bit of a relief! Can’t believe I missed this before ![]()
Is there any link to something official, anywhere?
