I’m currently a student in Taiwan. I recently renewed my passport to the Electronic Passport so I can use the visa-waiver program for Japan. I will be traveling to Japan very soon, but my ARC is still valid until next year and it still contains my old passport number.
I have already applied to update my ARC information with the new passport number, and it has been approved, but the physical card is still being processed.
May I travel to Japan using my current (old) ARC while bringing both my old and new passports?
