IMHO language exchanges are pot luck - some are just English vampires and others are really too busy to meet regularly, while others are organised and committed to a fair exchange. I found the last while attending an official course, and suspect I learned more from a couple of hours a week spent with her than from days each week spent in class - not to mention getting the satisfaction of helping someone else to improve her English as well.
