I tried googling it but couldn’t find much solid-seeming babysitters/agencies. My dad will have a government caregiver twice a week because he’s handicapped post-stroke. But I need a babysitter for occasional random (like my own medical) appointments because the social worker advised against leaving him home alone.
He has delayed/cancelled his foreign caregiver multiple times so it’ll be months waiting for his new one. The foreign caregiver agencies say it’s illegal for them to work short-term.

You can arrange local babysitters. When my MIL recently had knee surgery the hospital arranged a foreign worker from Indonesia to care for her in the hospital and also for 10 days after she came home.
They do not do general babysitting duties. You need to arrange for a local person to help when you cannot be at home.
Can you please share the hospital/foreign worker agencies/contact info because it has been quite hard for me to access this info due to the language barrier and I’m busy everyday with my dad?
