Background + health check to convert GC to APRC

I won’t arrive in Taiwan until there are a little over 2 years left on my Gold Card and from what I’ve read, it looks like I will need a health check and background checks (one from Taiwan and one from home country).

The health check and the Taiwan background check should be easy enough. What I’m concerned about is the background check from my home country (U.S.).

Since I’ll be in Taiwan, my understanding is that I’ll need to get fingerprinted somewhere in Taiwan, send my fingerprint card and background check application to the FBI, and have the results mailed back to me in Taiwan. Then, I’ll need to mail it along with passport copy, application, and fee to the D.C. TECO office for authentication. After receiving it in the mail in Taiwan from the D.C. TECO office, I’ll need to have it translated to Chinese and notarized by someone in Taiwan. Then, I’ll provide the authenticated original English FBI background check results + notarized Chinese translation with my APRC application.

Am I missing some steps, or did I get something wrong?
