⚾ Baseball | Taiwanese MLB Players

Despite Yu Chang getting hurt in spring training, Teng Kai-wei did make it into the Giants’ roster becoming the first Taiwanese Giants players. Teng pitched his first game yesterday. The game was already blown out with a 0:10 home lead for the Padres by the 3rd inning when Daulton Jefferies got taken off the mound. Teng pitched 3 innings, giving up 3 runs in the first one, and then only allowed 1 single in the next 2 innings. He struck out 4 in total, walked 3.

He struck out Padres’ Korean slugger Kim Ha-Seong, who hit a grand slam in the 2nd inning. He also struck out Tatis.

Still got control problems.

The ump didn’t help either though.

Connor Joe go ahead RBI double.

He is not Taiwanese. His grandparents were from China.

The only Taiwanese player in the MLB right now is Kai-Wei Teng.

My brother was at the game and sent me this. I searched on YouTube and no video turned up. Only highlights on 緯來.

Good performance vs Nats.
