⚾ Baseball | Taiwanese MLB Players

Getting exposed in full Southwest sunlight day in and day out on the field does that to you.

I also agree, looks like elder like in a park here.
His Asian team mate looks younger but is same age
from wiki:

Wild thang gets another start!

A little better, but still left the game early.

I’m glad they’re investing in his experience.

Kaiwei is getting another start against the Dodgers today. Cheers to the Giants organization for giving him yet another chance. They see potential.

EDIT:
Just kidding, he started against the Rockies on Labor Day. 8 Ks in 5 1/3, 0 BBs, kept the ball inside the stadium at Coors Field.

Every strikeout.

Jung Ho Lee has something to say about Taiwanese baseball.

In the premier 12, since Taiwan–like Korea–knows how to hit submariners, he wondered why they sent a submariner to pitch against Taiwan???

Kaiwei will pitch against Yamamoto, cheapest ticket $92.

Yamamoto is really good, had a near-no hitter the other day.

This Chinatimes article refers to a Giants Fansided article (with no link and which I can’t find).

Says first time through the order, his opponents hit 0.205/0.311/0.359. Second time, it jumps to 0.387/0.474/0.419. This deterioration is larger than average.

He is more suited for long relief than starting.

Uh…just kidding he’s not pitching against Yamamoto.

He pitched against the D-backs. Struck out Corbin Carroll twice, and then after he hit the showers, Carroll hit a two-run double.

Pitched against the Dodgers, finally.

He continues to have control problems. Got 6 Ks in 3 innings, which is good. Box score says one or two walks, but he hit 3 batters.

He keeps on throwing it at left handlers’ feet.

He did strike out Shohei twice—which is nice. But even the best player in baseball history struck out against the Czechs.

I mean, all those missed-locations probably confused the heck out of Shohei.

You mean those balls at his feet?

Fairchild has said yes.

His pitching mechanics maybe? He opens up facing the batter so early in his delivery. That would tend to put the ball exactly where he’s missing from his arm angle.

Stupid question, but l am curious, why don’t pitchers apologize when they hit a batter unintentionally? I mean, hello, you cause some serious hurt and don’t even raise your arm or something like tennis players do when they hit the frickn net and score a point.

I sign of weakness mostly. As a kid playing you learn this in Japan and I guess also everywhere (there might be someplace that say sorry?) Also as a side note after the game player (except USA/Canada pro) will shake hands/bow or something like that and maybe say sorry after the match (maybe)

from AI:
because it’s a part of baseball’s unwritten rules where apologies aren’t made to maintain intimidation. In cases of unintentional hits, a verbal apology might also imply intent,
