In Taitung, Pingtung and such you can see nice baseball fields , much nicer than in most Northern areas or even Kaohusing/ Tainan. I think here in KHH basketball in king with youth, and other sports ahead of baseball. (I go sometimes to the e-da batting cages after office hours and I am the only one there often, then my local friend she will also try as she hits just a few) Taitung, has nice ballball centre right near the new railroad station, quite nice and big for city it’s size, which shows baseball is more popular there, areas with more Aboriginal people.
Amazing full bases home run is unfortunately balanced out by the absolute suckitude of our pitcher.

Would’ve been 10-5 if Taiwan wasn’t cheated out of that run early on when the Dutch catcher was blocking home plate. But a win is a win.
At my neighbourhood 7-11 / bar, which was PACKED tonight with baseball fans. 
I’m glad the Taiwan side prevailed, but man some of the managerial decisions really made me wonder what they are thinking (giving away outs by bunting and getting caught trying to steal second—why?). The solo home run surrendered in the top of the 9th was fine with me compared to the walks and nibbling around the edges of the plate in the top of the 8th. Just stop putting guys on base when you’re up by six runs!
