Well it used to have a resort that has now been abandoned and slowly crumbling away. One problem was beach erosion if I remember right. People have drowned there aswell and it iust got a bad reputation and the government banned swimming…that was it.
I think this is also the beach the mayor wanted to put a penguin house on. I’m not joking.
This is a sad thread to read. I was hopeful that if find a large number of nice beaches out here given the geography.
I just moved here from San Diego California and am getting adjusted to the scene. These forums are helpful, despite the bleak picture they sometimes paint.
