Best film scores

Self-explanatory title. Since a heavy-weight just passed away I figured it’d be a good time to share.

Unfortunately I never got to see Ennio Morricone when he played in Taipei. I had no idea he performed here as there was/is no news in English that let you know what gigs/shows are coming. It’s usually luck- stumbling upon something, word of mouth through a link or you follow a particular band’s news online to find out who is playing here.

Platoon. Barber - Adagio for strings.

First one that comes to mind:

Haha. Yeah. That movie screwed me up pretty good when I was a kid.

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind:

I wonder if Morricone was aware how much of his music was stolen by the puppet theater 布袋戲 productions in Taiwan. Several of the characters’ theme songs were Morricone compositions and large portions of his scores were used as background music for the shows.

This is the theme for 黑白郎君

This scene just directly uses the score from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

There are tons of examples of this.
