Taiwan Mobile has a deal starting at $999 for both unlimited 4G and home broadband Internet at 120mbps.

I just got this and so far it’s been pretty solid. Also it’s 120Mbps down/50 Mbps up which is way better than most US plans, and it seems to work as advertised. It’s just me working from home but there is occasionally more than one video call going on and I’ve noticed no slowdowns.

That said I’m running my own router (using the provided box as just a modem), so I’m not sure how well the provided box would fare as a router. But the internet service itself seems great.

Oh and I’m not in Da’an, but I’d imagine it would be similar.

I used their modem/router combo and the service seemed fine on it. I just like having FULL and absolute control over my networking so it was a bit painful to explain I wanted it in bridge mode.

The modem router didnt seem to support the user selecting bridge mode so… Many calls were needed as described in the topic below for those who dont know of this.

Hitron Modem

Hi there, I recently set up a Taiwan Broadband connection and my modem seems to be missing the Bridge Mode or Residential Gateway feature as Hitron calls it. Mine: [image] What it’s supposed to look like: [image] Anyone know how to get the feature back? Also, has anyone tried using third party modems? The one they gave me has an Intel Puma 6 chipset which is defective. I’m going to lose my mind with this.
