While ‘Goldfinger’ is technically the best, I’m partial to You Only Live Twice’… Nancy Sinatra score, 1960s Tokyo setting, scarred Blofeld… it has it all.
Also gotta give shout outs to ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Goldeneye.’
I think the song is much better than Sam Smith‘s, who might’ve submitted the worst Bond theme in history. Can’t believe he was chosen over Radiohead. Anyway, I think this Billie person did a bang-up job.

My vote has to go to the aforementioned ‘YOLT’ Nancy Sinatra track, but I’m a big fan of the iconic ‘Goldfinger’ theme, ‘Casino Royale’ theme, and Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ theme. I also think ‘Diamonds are Forever’ had a great theme, despite being the worst Connery film.
I’d forgotten how good the On Her Majesty’s Secret Service theme was. Fantastic Bond other than the Bond.

George Lazenby and Diana Rigg were fantastic in On her Majesty Secret Service, which was itself a great movie and a great Bond film
In Taiwan on later showing of the movie they cut out the end where the bad guys drive past Bond after he just got married and shoot and kill his newlywed wife later showings cut this part out. It was never good being married to Bond
not good being married to Tommy either they don’t get shot tho
I guess if I had to choose just one Bond film, which is really hard because there were a lot that were really good One I’ve always consistently enjoyed was The spy Who Loved Me for its sense of adventure and general entertainment
The movie would make no sense if they did this, certainly in relation to the franchise. Did they just edit it as they’re driving away from the wedding? They’re going to have trouble explaining away Daniel Craig dying. A married Bond in 1969 would be a challenge indeed.

So they just rolled the credits right after they drove off with the Just Married painted on the rear window of Bonds Aston Martin
They cut off the part where a car passed on the winding road and the baddies drove past and opened fire

They rolled the credits then with her dying in his arms with the song We have all the time in the world Very moving but Taiwan audiences didn’t like that ending

Since we have gotten quite a few people playing Bond that 007 and the name James Bond seems to be a role now that audiences understand
Daniel Craig reportedly turned down 200 million for two more movies so the franchise has to kill him off

Bond has always been a movie theater franchise (as opposed to release-to-video or made for streaming like Netflix does). Today’s theater movies are pretty wan, appealing as they do to presentist Gen Z and alpha.
Does anybody think any movie goers under age 30 find appeal in the James Bond we geezers understand?
The new Bond will probably have to be female or black (or both), or LBGQ; if not then whoever owns the Bond brand will have to skip movie theaters altogether and find different distribution.
I don’t think the Bond “that audiences understand” is commercially viable any more.

The Spy Who Loved Me Had the most adventure with the opening jump off the cliff and the parachute with the Union Jack to the camel ride in the desert and the pyramids and the guy knocked off the roof to the longhaired male dancers and the lotus esprit coming out of the water with its underwater scenes with the baddies chasing and Bond indicating a turn with the turn signals (not a BMW driver here). The scenes in Corsica on the winding road and Blofeld with his underwater city . Nuclear subs stolen

Never got to sit in a lotus esprit but sat in a Matra Murena in a Taipei showroom that looked similar
Recently got to drive a Lotus Emira for a few minutes at a dealer demo which is the last gas engined Lotus apparently

Personally I prefer the claustrophobic, uber-physical fist fight between Bond (Connery) and the Soviet assassin aka Red Grant (Robert Shaw), taking place over two train cars on the Orient Express, as shot by Terence Young in From Russia With Love.
A rowdy, quasi-fantastical, no-holds-barred echo from WWII, a kind of SAS v Nazi man-to-man fight that’s sped up just slightly in the movie to emphasize the kinetic. Few enough fist on skull punches to add realism, enough body shots to add more, the sudden appearance of a garrote a chilling touch.
Favorite movie is Goldfinger, though.
