Yes, the Chinese/Taiwanese category is a hard one. There are just too many variables and very likely almost every vote would be for “Other” leaving me to manually count and add each vote and then end up with a winner that has only two votes (Second place is a tie between 142 other restaurants). I had the same problem with setting up a “Beef Noodle” category.
The other option is to separate the main category into a lot of more specific categories. I’m not sure I would be able to get these done in time for voting. The specific categories will be in next year’s voting though.

(Obviously the noodle shop around the corner from where I live has the best vegetarian food in Taipei, but it might not be of much help if everybody voted for their favourite food stalls. The restaurants I suggested are all somewhat “special”, a place for a nice dinner instead of grabbing a quick bite.)
I would like to see Best Teahouse and Best Cocktails but don’t know of any poll options to get started with, sorry.

Otherwise they are just names and I have no time to search for something I may never find.
