Best Way to get Discounted Taipei Hotel Rates? Priceline? Hotwire?

Hi

Anyone know the best way to get discounted hotel rates? I’m going to stay in Taipei a couple of times over the next couple of weeks on different trips (travelling from Kaohsiung). I used to stay in those cheapie love hotels, but I am more wealthy now than when I was a young lad, so I’m willing to pay a bit more for slightly higher-end stays.

I know things like Priceline and Hotwire exist - are those good sites for what I’m looking for? Or are there any others? Any recommendations? So basically, I’m looking for hotel rooms that would normally cost say 2.5-3.0 Kish, but (ideally) purchased at discounted rates.

There’s no best way. Some hotels use booking sites, some want you to use their own website. Usually if you type the hotel name in to Google a bunch of booking sites will pop up. Just check around. I usually find a place I am interested in first, look at reviews, then compare the price on their website to a booking site. Don’t forget the booking site will charge you a little so usually the price ends up the same (though it may look cheaper on the booking site).
