Steve in Taiwan has been acting as an ‘agent’ for quite some time. My wife had contact with him a couple of times, as he had some work for our son, and he was creepy every time. We’ve also worked with people who got the job through ‘Steve in Taiwan’ and they were invariably getting paid less than we were. On the up side, they said they got paid in advance, whereas the local Taiwan agencies usually had us wait up to a month to get paid.
I have dealt with him and it was OK. Whenever I faxed my timesheet, I would also call him and send an e-mail. Maybe the trick is to be a bit like a stalker???
