but 900 is much more than I get from Giganews
there is also a limit your computer can take, you know…
at 900K/s, my hdd goes crazy, specially with the fact that it is 10 connections at same time, so a lot of hdd crunching goes in. It is not as in ftp you know… Also, don’t forget you have the decode and decryption times. Also… at 900KB/s, nothing else moves…
You guys have stacks and stacks of 100 pack DVDs laying around the house don’t you.

I haven’t been able to keep up with download speeds since about 8 years ago (I suppose ever since cable was widely availible.) You can get whatever you want, but are faster speeds even necessary? Can you really keep up with all that gets downloaded? I’m happy with 150K off my newserver (but I don’t download much, and when I do, I set it at night or on the way to work.)
