Blog/ html Help

I could use some pointers.

I could also keep quiet, muddle through myself, and learn as I go, but then none of you would have a chance to show off what you know.

Recently, I began coaching goalies for ice and roller hockey. It’s a good time: lots of fun, happy kids, serious sporting exercise… I absolutely love it. As a teaching aid, I’ve been taking photos and video (poor quality, digital point-and-shoot video, but better than nothing). Now, I’m using those to put together a coaching blog. monogoalies.blogspot.com/

I started just a couple of days ago, it’s very much a work in progress, and I’m open to changing pretty much everything about it. In particular, there’s a couple of problems:

-I’m using blogspot beta, and when I rewrite an entry, I have to repost the YouTube info. I don’t know why, but it’s a pain.
-I’m having trouble moving elements around on the page. I’d like to be able to place photos and text where I like on the page, but they’re… blocky. Photos stick together, text doesn’t wrap photos as I’d like… I’m sure that there are easy solutions, but if anyone cares to offer insights they’d be much appreciated.
-I’d like to post larger images, how to?

Many thanks.

you could try an free authoring tool like NVU. get it here - cvs.nvu.com/download/nvu-1.0-win … r-full.exe

it’s very easy to use and allows you to do all the things you’re asking for. if you have a gmail account you could then ulpoad the final product into the Google Page creator area and wullah - free hosting!

gmail also allows you to create simply websites as does myspace. you could try either if nvu is too much hassle (though i don’t think it would be).

someone else might have a good idea on how to do what you want in blogspot.

Place text and photos in

tags, then you can set the
tags’ exact positions.

You will have to define the style sheet within the html doc. Place tags within the tags on your html doc.

Your html should look something like this:

Jaboney's Blog .mytext {position: absolute; top: 50px; left: 25px; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 8pt; font-family: Verdana}
Hello, my name is Jaboney, and I see nothing wrong with my prime minister swearing fealty to a foreign power
