Bloggers vs The MSM: Who do you love?

I read a few blogs, mostly for the reason that the TV news in not indepth enough for my taste, but mostly because some bloggers do something that more and more MSM outlets do not do: check their facts.

It’s not that I believe in some vast left vs right wing conspiracy, but that the amount of shodding reporting, the use of questionable “evidence,” the lack of solid fact checking and the non-nuetrality that many news sources hold has turned my stomach.

Blogs are biased for sure. Yet some of them are very good at fact checking, and honestly that’s what I want…the truth, or the closest proximation to it possible.

Little Green Footballs called into question the George Bush reservist documents a few years back which were then proven to be fakes. This really put blogs on the map…as source and fact checkers.

Now this one

zombietime.com/fraud/ambulance/

has come out swinging against the “Israeli bombing of a Red Cross ambulance.” The guy makes a very good case.
On the night of July 23, 2006, an Israeli aircraft intentionally fired missiles at and struck two Lebanese Red Cross ambulances performing rescue operations, causing huge explosions that injured everyone inside the vehicles. Or so says the global media, including Time magazine, the BBC, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and thousands of other outlets around the world. If true, the incident would have been an egregious and indefensible violation of the Geneva Convention, and would constitute a war crime committed by the state of Israel.

But there’s one problem: It never happened.
So, who do you love?
