Hello, I need to book train tickets in advance.
Some are THSR and others are regular train.
In both cases, on both websites, I have the same problem: one of the passenger is senior (with Taiwanese ID card) but it seems impossible to book online, because the system provides only “Adult” and “Child” option.
I would prefer to do it online because I am not yet in Taiwan, and it might be too late when I get there to get the discount tickets (for those who are not senior).
Any advice?
You can only book senior tickets on theChinese website of HSR, not on the English website.
is it the same for TRA?
I don’t know about TRA, but you could try their Chinese website.

Use the T Express app to book THSR tickets. I just checked: it does have the “Senior” (65+ ROC Citizen) option. Don’t know about TRA though.
