Books we pretend we've read

I’ve started reading Ulysses by James Joyce a few times.

Worth the punishment if you succeed

Maybe. He’s good. Read most of his stuff. Some of them many times.

Macbeth for example. Done films, plays, opera, ballet. Readings, paintings, dance.

Great stuff. Don’t dismiss de bard!

From the picture I just read The Hobbit.

I’my entries would be The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking and The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann.

Really liked that one. :+1:

7/10. I’m quite surprised that the Alchemist is there. In my country it is a meme that the Alchemist attracts the same kind of crowd as “The Secret” and those magical self help books.

Everyone ought to read animal farm and nineteen eighty four. They’re not long, rambling novels, so even if you’re not particularly engaged in the story it only takes a few hours to finish them.
