Maybe. He’s good. Read most of his stuff. Some of them many times.
Macbeth for example. Done films, plays, opera, ballet. Readings, paintings, dance.
Great stuff. Don’t dismiss de bard!
King Lear is my Catcher in The Rye. So many times and so many different forms.

7/10. I’m quite surprised that the Alchemist is there. In my country it is a meme that the Alchemist attracts the same kind of crowd as “The Secret” and those magical self help books.

Everyone ought to read animal farm and nineteen eighty four. They’re not long, rambling novels, so even if you’re not particularly engaged in the story it only takes a few hours to finish them.
“I am writing a book,” says the man at the drinks party, in the old Peter Cook cartoon. “Neither am I,” replies his companion. Still makes me laugh. But would now work with “I am reading a book”, too.
