I know there has been a few threads that talk specifically about certain brands, but i would like to bring back this discussion since the last replies were back in 2020. Figuring things might have changed a bit in the 4 years ?
Are there any local bottled Mineral Water brands ?
If not, are there any reasonable priced brands in Taiwan ?
From what I read, YES is not really mineral water.
I see some water labeled as ‘Natural Water’ I assume that’s boiled tap water ? As I didn’t see nutritional (mineral) information
Taiwan has numerous bottled water brands and hundreds of water plants, but only four are officially designated as “mineral water plants.”
These four are YES, Water Century, Jiugushan, and my favorite, Babu Long.
Here’s a little tip: products with “礦泉水” in the name or labeled CNS12700 are mineral water; if you see CNS12852, it’s regular bottled water or tap water.
I recently bought a bottle, because I wanted the bottle, not the water. Didn’t taste much different from other waters. The price is different for sure. Thought it was a foreign brand.
