This is worse than noise. Noise is in the air. You can shut your windows and turn on the AC and it’s muffled. But vibration comes from within the building. I can hear and, in fact, feel my downstairs neighbors’ activities when I lie in bed. Earplugs don’t really help as this is more than just noise. I often get awaken early in the morning when my neighbor, out of some strange habit, moves heavy furniture across the floor. I’ve confronted them about it, but they just flatly denied doing anything. What’s to be done? :help:
either move or give them a taste of their own medicine
It’s been said that the sound of ghosts is that of furniture moving and marbles dropping. You haven’t heard any marbles dropping, have you?
No sound of marbles dropping, but any more early morning noise will surely make me lose my marbles.
Moving is to admit defeat. Vengeance will only breed malice. I’ve been trying to sleep on my back instead of on my side so as to avoid placing my ear against the pillow. But that’s hard when you’re used to sleeping on your side. Maybe I can put foam or some kind of cushion under my bed to buffer the vibration. Any ideas?
Built a zero-gravity chamber in your bed-room and sleep suspended in the air, that should take care of the vibrations, plus you can annoy your neighbours a little by making some noise of your own while builing this thing. Alternatively, drink a bottle of warm beer before bed-time. Xpet.
