Buying Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism in Taiwan vs USA – Advice Needed!

I’m considering buying Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism in Taiwan because I’ve heard they are much cheaper compared to the USA. I have a few questions and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this:

  1. Are there any differences (quality, packaging, or formulation) between the Acuvue Oasys lenses sold in Taiwan vs USA?

  2. Can I use my USA prescription to purchase contact lenses in Taiwan, or would I need a local eye exam?

  3. Is anyone currently buying their lenses in Taiwan while using a USA prescription, and how has your experience been?

Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!

You don’t need a prescription in Taiwan. Just go in and tell her what you want and that’s it. Nice huh?

The quality is no different.

Are the prices pretty much the same everywhere or is there a particular store that’s know for being better or cheaper?

Does Costco in Taiwan sell contacts? They do here in the USA but not sure about Taiwan.

Thanks

For sure.

Cost of most medical stuff (including glasses/contacts) are often cheaper and no paperwork required. If your prescription is out of date they can do a vision test on the spot.

Just priced it out and it’s about 50% cheaper in Taiwan than the cheapest legit price I could find in the USA.

Seems like this could be a good side hustle. :money_mouth_face:
