Can a foreigner (Gold Card holder) get commercial drivers licence in Taiwan?
Sure would hope so. There’s a big shortage of bus drivers and the existing ones are not very good.

I asked about a commercial heavy licence in the DMV over a decade ago, they literally laughed at me. Then said no. Maybe this changed due shortages.

I once inquired about obtaining my CDL in Taiwan since we are always short drivers. I was told I could, but my literacy in mandarin isn’t proficient enough for the testing and classes. I could be wrong though since I didn’t pursue it any further.
