Can the NIA give a certificate proving all of my past addresses in Taiwan? I need to be able to prove somehow that me and my wife live together, and have done so for since we got married, but I don’t have Household Registration so I can’t use that doc to prove it. My current residence permit address matches her ID card but that only proves we live together now and I need something more long term.
No.
I tried.
That’s unfortunate
If one of you is taiwanese and has HR, the foreigner will be on their family tree.
For addresses I haven’t had luck either with the NIA. I do however always keep my old arc and just tell them it’s lost and pay the fee. This serves as a record of address.
The Taiwanese partners ID would be good too. It has the partners name on it as well as address.
Take pictures of the IDs when you get them. I keep pics of my IDs from 30+ years ago.
Yeah I have scans of all my permits going back almost 10 years, but photocopies aren’t enough for me to prove that we were living together at a certain period of time. Need originals unfortunately
Unfortunately the HHR document only shows we are married, not that I also live there because I am waiting off on getting HHR until I’m 36 due to military conscription
