Ha, ha, ha! Lots of people living “alternative lifestyles” in Tofino. There are folks up there who have lived in and off the forests for years–not “trailer trash” types, but people who have tertiary level education and choose to drop out for a variety of reasons. Some live in tree houses, in turf-covered huts, in wooden cabins…
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of those people dressed up in a Bigfoot suit. In fact, I can think of one Tofino resident who would do just that.
