Caoling Historic Trail (Hiking Information Thread)

We hiked one section of Caoling Historic Trail (alternative name Caoling Old Trail) a few days ago. We hiked from Dali to the Tiger Tablet (Tiger Inscription) spot. I will put detail information and photos later. Meanwhile, people who have done the complete hike could post about their experiences.

With larger number of hikes in Taiwan, we could have separate threads for separate hikes! It will be useful for future readers.

Do you know of any good hiking trails in and around the Taichung area?

I wonder how far or how long from Dali Visitor Center entrance until can see some nice views?

A couple km up the road beside the temple to the trailhead, maybe 30 minutes. The best views are along the Taoyuan valley trail though (left up the hill once you reach the end of the road).
