I threw a new shirt into the laundry with the others by mistake, and it of course leaked all over the place. Several of my favorites are pretty much ruined right now.
Anyone know where I can get some carbon tetrachloride? It was banned for dry-cleaning decades ago in the U.S., but I’m hoping it’s available here. Yes, I know how to handle it without giving myself cancer.
its called 四氯化碳, you can ask the dry cleaners if they use it.
My sister had a sweater that got dyed by another piece of clothing. Soaked it in the clorax coloursafe bleach I got at welcome for a while and the spots went away.
If that doesn’t work, you could try the dye remover they sell beside the dylon hot/cold clothing dye at some watsons, but you should test it somewhere unobvious first, lest it remove the original colour of your shirt. I think it’s a packet of powder that you dissolve in hot water.
Several sites also write that carbon tetrachloride is sold in pharmacies here. That sounds…scary.
It’s use as a cleaner has been banned in China to save the ozone.
But apparently not in Taiwan.
