Carpenters

I need to build a simple stage. Can anyone recommend a good local (Taipei) carpenter that preferably can speak a little English?

Much appreciated.

go into any restaurant and ask who did their interior.

they will likely give you a number.

Just don’t expect to speak English, or even Mandarin for that matter (lots of them speak Taiwanese and prefer it over Mandarin)

I think if you dropped a barely comprehensible ‘ni hao’ you’d likely be invited in for tea and lauded over your advanced Mandarin skills.

A bit of gally-gong and you might literally blow someone’s mind.

Sandman or irishstu would undoubtedly be able to point you in the right direction. :2cents:

Not me, sorry.

The best I’ve heard of was sadly crucified about 2000 years ago. :frowning:

Yeah, but I heard he didn’t stick around after that.
