Change in Compensation

If a Taiwanese or Foreign firm is planning on cutting salaries by a certain % and offering stock options to make up the difference, when and how does it have to notify the employees?

Can they get away with verbally divulging this info 3 days before your salary (minus 30%) hits your hand?

It is an excellent question, and one that has not come up before. It seems to me that someone needs to check with the Bureau of Labor Affairs of your local city/county government. The officials there should have a better insight into the legality of what your company is attempting to do.
