My current school want to cancel my work permit on the 29th of July thus invalidating my ARC. Then my new employer will begin submitting the papers for my new work permit with them on the 1st of August.
They both seem to think I don’t need to leave the country at any stage, but I don’t understand why as I won’t have a valid Visa to stay here, right?
Is it still possible to add a new school to your ARC by simply applying for a work permit before my new school cancel my current one?

The current employer can do that if they wish.
Get an extension based on the paperwork your new school employer will be/should be filing on your behalf as we type together here.
Yes it is possible. But the soon to be ex and new employers don’t have to do it this way.
