I went to NIA couple of weeks ago to apply for an ARC but they rejected my application because I am still on a working holiday visa, which is basically a visitor visa for 180 days with the remark “no work permit needed”. They said I need to have that canceled first from ???. I cannot remember that place where I have to go, they just called it “Taiwan Embassy” in Taipei… but that can’t be right, can it? Does anyone know the name of that Department and where to find it? I’d like to go there on monday so that I can apply for my ARC, I got my working permit already since 3 months… just the ARC is missing.

Edit: for your information. I am working for a company in Taipei and they got me a working permit and in order to be elegible for NHI I need that ARC even though my WH visa is valid till September…
