I am going to a party tonight in Taichung downtown near Sogo
WCIF a cheap hotel, room, roof to stay as cheap as possible?
cheap means under 2000 NT

Lots of hotels around train station as cheap as 700. Booking.com.

Near Sogo more expensive closer to 2000 or more unless hostel.

I’ve stayed at a similar Kiwi in Taichung a few times. Simple clean efficient.

I stayed at the LaVida before. Maybe a bit higher than 2k, but nice clean rooms and good breakfast.

Kiwi Hotel in Taichung. simple clean efficient. good buffet breakfast too

There are actually at least 3 Kiwi hotels right next to the Train station
It’s better to go to the main one first:
